INFORMATION & Accommodation
The Festival recitals involve many CT
carillonneurs, both from Trinity and other CT carillons, with some further
players from PA , VT, and MA. Australian Suzanne Magassy will be
performing also. We have noted that two extra Australians will be at Trinity to
enjoy the Festival.
We have accommodation requirements already specified by some carillonneurs
attending, but would like to hear from anyone requiring such to inform us of the
number of days needed. It will be dorm style, hotels have been booked out around
Hartford for 6 months due to a huge convention in town also.
There are only a few Smith House rooms on campus and these have been earmarked
for those will special medical or other needs such as limited agility.
At present accommodation will be in the dorms at Trinity College for the Festival. The cost at this stage will be perhaps $30 per night--the administration have not responded as to whether breakfast is included in the cost---so this may change. There will be a few rooms available at Smith House on campus---we await a costing for those.
There will be a finale picnic dinner on the lovely grounds of Trinity College beside the carillon during the concerts of the evening. Visitors will need to be responsible for a couple of lunch and evening arrangements.
Please send Accommodation requests to either of the Festival planners, Dan Kehoe (dankehoe@bigfootlabs.com) or Suzanne Magassy (tenor@effect.net.au) as soon as possible.
Thankyou.
